The next Southern Conference will take place in Mobile, Alabama, from October 22nd to 25th. The registration fee is $95, and the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Hotel is $180 per night. Go to vfwal.org to register.

As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for the hard work and dedication you demonstrate every day in your departments. Your unwavering commitment to assisting veterans and their families—whether through benefits support, emergency assistance, or simply showing that we care—truly reflects the heart and mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
As we gather around our tables to give thanks, let us also remember those who are standing watch and guarding the gates of freedom around the world. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of their families, reminds us of the true meaning of service.
I wish each of you a warm and meaningful Thanksgiving. May you cherish this time with your family, friends, and loved ones.
